Steve Westly Joins AltraBiofuels’ Board of Directors
LOS ANGELES (May 23, 2007)--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AltraBiofuels, Inc., a California-based developer of renewable biofuels,
announced today that it has welcomed Steve Westly, former California
State Controller, to the company’s board of
directors.
In joining the board, Westly will play an integral role overseeing the
implementation of AltraBiofuels’ strategy to
produce several hundred million gallons of biofuels through the
acquisition and upgrading of existing production assets, as well as
through the development of new strategically located facilities across
the nation all aiming to employ state-of-the-art, cellulosic biofuels
technologies.
Steve Westly most recently completed his term as the California State
Controller where he served as the Chief Fiscal Officer of the world's
sixth largest economy. In addition to his government service, Westly
acted as the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development
at eBay, where he directed, Mergers and Acquisitions and International
Development. Westly served on the faculty at Stanford's Graduate School
of Business from 1991 to 1995 and has a BA and an MBA from Stanford
University.
